Blind and seen play form the core betting system of Teen Patti, and mastering this difference is mandatory for every new player. Many beginners confuse the two states, misread bet costs and make expensive errors before they fully grasp the rules.

When you play blind, you have not looked at your three cards. The big advantage of blind play is reduced betting cost: any call or raise you make costs half the value of a seen player’s bet. This discount is the main reason players choose to stay blind. However, there is a major tradeoff: you have no idea what cards you hold. You are gambling completely blind to your hand strength.

Once you choose to see your cards, you switch to seen status. From that point onward, every bet and call you make requires the full stake. The upside is knowing exactly your hand rank, so you can make decisions based on real card strength. After seeing, you cannot revert back to blind status for the same hand.
